The Queen’s Project is a non-profit organization that seeks to provide a safe and encouraging space for girls ages 6-18. This organization aims to help girls flourish into successful young Queens, despite the many challenges that young girls face growing up. Whether these challenges are relational or economic in nature, many young girls—particularly young girls of color—lack the resources and organizational support to overcome the obstacles that emerge along their journey to adulthood. None of us should have to go through it alone, and The Queen’s Project will help ensure no young girl has to.

Our Founder

Quanetta Jefferson

Quanetta Jefferson was born and raised in Sumter, SC. She received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina and obtained her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. Currently, she works as a licensed mental health counselor working with children and adolescents. Being raised in a small town where mentorship was not easily accessible, she is passionate about creating a safe and welcoming space in the community where young girls can receive support and guidance as they journey into adulthood. She hopes that this organization will instill hope and empower every young girl to flourish into successful and powerful women.

I created this organization to help girls flourish into successful young women because I know firsthand the many challenges that young girls face growing up. Regardless of economic or relational challenges, you can over the obstacles. The Queen's Project will help ensure no young girl has to do it alone.

Our Mission

Our mission is to encourage young girls to become the best version of themselves by providing resources and opportunities that allow them to explore and understand the importance of teamwork and community, goal setting and achievement, self-awareness, and service. Our goal is to help grow young girls into successful young women who leave the world and their communities better than they found it.

Our vision is to support, inspire, and empower young girls to be who they are meant to be and to help them realize their full potential. We want to grow young girls into young women who will inspire and empower others they meet along the way.
